BRTC signs deal with Tata, VE Vehicles The deal signing ceremony

DHAKA: Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) signed an agreement with Tata Motors Ltd and VE Commercial Vehicle Limited under Indian Line of Credit (LoC), to buy 100 non-air-conditioned buses and 500 trucks as part of a project.

BTRC Chairman Farid Uddin Bhuiyan, Tata Motors Ltd Senior Manager Vishal Sharma and VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd’s Kashish Arora signed the agreement, in presence of Road Transport & Highways Division Additional Secretary Shafiq Ahemd, at BRTC Bhaban Thursday (August 16).

BRTC initiated a project to buy a total of 600 buses and 500 trucks in phases.

Each of the buses will costs Tk32,53,687 while the trucks cost Tk 13,02,312 for each.

Senior officials of Road Transport & Bridges Ministry, BRTC and EXIM Bank-India also attended the function.
