DHAKA: Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury paid last tribute to editor of Bangla daily newspaper Samakal Golam Sarwar, who died at a Singapore hospital on Monday night (August 13).  

The speaker laid floral wreath over the coffin of the deceased at Central Shaheed Minar in the city.

“The death of the renowned journalist Golam Sarwar has created a void of irreparable loss,” the speaker said.

She prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed condolences to the bereaved family.
