HABIGANJ: A farmer was killed after he had been struck by a thunderbolt in Nabiganj upazila of the district on Wednesday (August 15).

The deceased was identified as Sayed Miah, 25, son of Mukter Miah, hailed from Borinaw village of Paniumda union of the upazila.

“Sayed was killed on the spot while working in the field,’ Ijajur Rahman, chairman of Paniumda Union Parishad said.
