DHAKA: Two workers were killed after falling from an under construction building in city’s Dakshin Khan on Wednesday (August 15).

Habib, 50, Aktharujjaman, 35 were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical conditions, but doctors declared them dead around 5 pm.

“Two workers fell from the 6th floor of an under construction building in Dakshin Khan area as they were working with their feet rested on a table. They fell suddenly as the building had no scaffolding. Immediately after the fall, they were transported to hospital, but doctors declared them dead,” Rana Miah, colleague of the deceased said.

“The matter is under investigation,” Abdul Gafur Miah, sub inspector of Dakshin Khan Police Station said.
