SATKHIRA: A member of forest robbery gang ‘Al-Amin Bahini’ was killed in an alleged gunfight with members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-6) in Koyra area of Satkhira range in Sundarbans on Wednesday (August 15).

The deceased was identified as Babu. 

Moreover, 23 abducted fishermen were also rescued by RAB following the gunfight. 

RAB men also seized 7 fishing boats and huge amount of firearms, ammunition from the robbers. 

RAB-6 operation officer Lieutenant Commander Zahid told Banglanews that earlier some 23 fishermen were abducted by Al Amin forest robbery gang. On information, RAB carried out the drive when one robber was killed and rescued the fishermen.
