LALMONIRHAT: A young truck helper was killed as a truck hit another truck in Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat early Wednesday (August 15).

The deceased, aged around 28, couldn’t be identified immediately.

Witnesses said a truck was kept stranded besides Burimari Highway in Hazranio area, at the night.

Another speedy truck hit the first one from behind, leaving the helper trapped inside while the driver fled away.

Locals rescued the helper and took him to Kaliganj hospital where the physician pronounced him dead.

Kaliganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Makbul Hossain confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
