DHAKA UNIVERSITY: Detective Branch (DB) of police detained a female student of Dhaka University (DU) Tuesday (August 14), to interrogate her reportedly in their custody.

The detainee--Tasnim Afroz Emi, is a student of academic year 2013-14, at the Department of Sociology. 

She served as the secretary general of a platform named Slogan-71.

Witnesses said, Emi was detained while she was staying with her female friends at a tea stall before Shamsunnahar Hall, after the evening. 

She (Emi) posted various status on Facebook, about the quota reform movement, said her female friends.   

DU Proctor Dr AKM Golam Rabbani acknowledges the matter to Banglanews.
