CHITTAGONG:  A three-old-child drowned in Charpatharghat area of Karnaphuli upazila while a woman died of electrocution at Tulatuli area under Bakalia Police Station of the city on Tuesday (August 14).

The child Meherina is the daughter of Nesar Ahmed, of the aforementioned area and Jaheda Begom, 30, wife of Motaher Hossen, used to live with her husband in Rajakhali area in Chittagong.

“The child fell into pond of the house while playing. On the other hand, Jaheda Begum got electrocuted when she was working at a gold plastic house in Ma residential area in Rajakhali. Two of them were pronounced dead at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH),” Alauddin Talukder, Sub Inspector at CMCH police Outpost.
