DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the Badda U-loop (North U-loop) in city’s Hatirjheel area in order to ease traffic movement.

After the inauguration at 5pm on Saturday (July 28), the premier toured the U-loop. 

The U-loop will facilitate vehicular movement largely in Pragati Sarani, Banasree, Aftab Nagar, Rampura and Merul Badda areas of the capital.

Bangladesh army started construction work of the U-loop at the beginning of 2016 to ease traffic in Rampura-Banasree area. 

This 214-meter-long Merul Badda cost Tk 33 crore.
