RAJSHAHI: Two motorcyclists were killed after the bike they rode got hit by a truck in Choyghati area of Godagari upazila in Rajshahi on Sunday noon (July 22).

The deceased were identified as Emdad Hossain Chandu, 50, hailed from Foradpur village of the upazila and his relative Khusbu Tajnim, 14. 

Confirming the matter to Banglanews, Godagari police station officer-in-charge (OC) Jahangir Alam said Chandu and Tajnim were going to Rajshahi by a motorbike while a speedy truck from opposite direction crushed them on Rajshahi-Chapai Nawabganj highway leaving both dead on the spot. 

The truck driver was detained. The bodies were sent to hospital for autopsy and a case is being filed over the incident, he added.
