RANGPUR: Four passengers of an auto-rickshaw were killed as a bus rammed the auto in Hazarihat area of Rangpur city early Sunday (July 22).

The deceased couldn’t be identified immediately.

The accident happened near Hazarihat Bridge area, around 7am.

Rangpur Kotwali Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Monwar Hossain told Banglanews that the three of the passengers died on the spot and another one succumed to injuries while undegoing treatment at hospital.

The bodies were recovered and sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) morgue.

Efforts are on to identify the deceased, added the SI.
