DHAKA: Two workers died after falling from an under construction building at Jagannath Hall in Dhaka University on Saturday afternoon (July 21).

The deceased were identified as Swapan, 24 and Maidul Islam, 26, both hailing from Rangpur district. 

A fellow of the victims’ told Banglanews that they were working at the 2nd floor of the old eight-storey Santosh Bhattacharya building in Jagannath Hall. The duo fell while they were standing on a small entresol outside of the building to work on the wall paints. They sustained critical injuries from the fall and rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where on-duty physician declared them dead. 

DMCH police outpost in-charge (SI) Bacchu Mia told Banglanews that the bodies were kept in hospital morgue.
