Over 100 held in Geneva Camp anti-narcotics drive

DHAKA: Law enforcers carried out a drive again at the Geneva Camp in Mohammadpur of the capital city and detained more than a hundred people on drug menace charges.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Legal & Media Wing Assistant Director ASP Mizanur Rahman disclosed the matter to media Thursday noon (July 19).

RAB-2 members detained over 100 people over involvement in drug abuse, in the overnight drive, he said.

Legal actions will be taken against the detainees, after running investigation thoroughly, added the ASP.

However, as many as 51 people were nabbed from the same area over similar accusations, on June 20.
