DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said her party will come to power again if only countrymen vote for it in the upcoming general election, otherwise not. 

“Election is looming and I will come to power if people vote for me otherwise not. It totally depends on the people and Allah. Allah gives power to whomever he will,” PM said.

The premier made the remarks while inaugurating the electronic distribution system of allowance among beneficiaries, a social security program of Social Welfare Ministry, through video conferencing from her official residence Ganbhaban on Tuesday (July 17). 

Mentioning that the social security allowance will reach directly to people through electronic system, she said this system will create transparency in the distribution process so that no one can mess with the fate of the poor.

Sheikh Hasina also said, “Serving the people is AL’s main objective. We are providing aids so that people do not suffer from hunger. However, we will not take responsibility of the whole family because that will make people dependant and indolent.”
