CHATTOGRAM:  The second batch, consisting of 80 members, of Bangladesh Navy left Shah Amanat International Airport to join UN peacekeeping missions Banankan-9 (UNIFIL) in Lebanon.

They left for Lebanon on Monday night (July 16). This second batch will join the ship ‘Bijoy’ deployed there.

A press release was issued from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Department on Tuesday (July 17).

Commander Chief Staff Officer to Chattogram Naval Zone Captain M Abdus Samad saw the team off while senior officials of Navy and family members of the second batch were present.

Earlier, the first batch of 30 Navy members flew to Lebanon on July 8.
