COX’S BAZAR: Four people were killed as a bamboo-laden truck turned turtle in front of Balukhali customs ghat in Ukhia of the district on Monday morning.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Ukhia upazilla Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Nikaruzzaman Chowdhury said the bamboo-laden truck overturned on three human haulers and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw parked in the road around 10 am as the driver lost control over steering, leaving four people dead on the spot.

They rescued the bodies from the spot, he added.
