India to assist Bangladesh in any situation: Rajnath Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal in a press briefing

DHAKA: India will stand by Bangladesh in any situation as a close ally, said visiting Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh to his Bangladeshi counterpart Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal was talking to reporters following a meeting between home ministers of the two countries at the secretariat on Sunday (July 15).

The minister also informed reporters about effective discussion on boarder, drug, and Rohingya issues.

“Whenever a problem arises, two countries would resolve it through discussion. They’re concerned about Bangladesh, and will help us under any circumstance,” Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said quoting Rajnath Singh.

He also said, “Terrorist attack or separatist movement will not be allowed even on an inch soil of Bangladesh or on our close ally’s soil. We believe in ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy. We sought cooperation from them to combat militancy and terrorism; therefore, they exchanged information with us.”

Rajnath Singh held the meeting on the 3rd day of his 3-day visit.
