DHAKA: The Indian government will issue five-year multiple visa to Bangladeshi freedom fighters among senior citizens.
Bangladesh and India signed an accord titled ‘Revise Travel Arrangement-2018’ during a home-ministerial level meeting at secretariat on Sunday (July 15).
Later Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal briefed reporters.
Kamal said, “A deal was singed today to ease the visa process. India has decided to allow 5-year multiple visa to elderly people aged 65 or above. India will also provide the same facility to Bangladeshi freedom fighters.”
Moreover, visiting Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh also assured for easing the process for student and medical visa, Kamal said.
Every year, one crore people go abroad for various reasons from our country. Of them, 30 lakh people go to India, he added.
