SHERPUR:  A district court has sentenced six members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) to jail in different terms in a sensational case in Sherpur.

Judge of the Special Tribunal (Senior District and Sessions Judge) of Sherpur Court MA Noor handed down the verdict on Monday (June 25).

Nazmus Shahadat Rana, 28, of Sherpur town, and Moniruzzaman Manik alias Kawsar, 28, were given13 years of rigorous imprisonment with fine, while Maruf Hossain Rony, 31, Amir Hamza Khalil, 32, Tanvir, 32, and Swayeb, 33, were given 5 years and 6 months of rigorous imprisonment also with fine.
