PABNA: Two businessmen were shot and stabbed to death in Ataikula thana of Pabna Sunday (June 24).

The deceased were identified as Abdul Gafur, 60, a sanitary trader and Iddis Ali, 40, a grocer at Bhulbaria Tebaria Bazar under Ataikula. 

Ataikula Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Masud Rana told Banglanews that a group of some 8-10 miscreants attacked Abdul Gafur all of a sudden, around 6:30pm.

The miscreants fled away after stabbing and shooting Iddis and Gafur as Iddis came to the scene to resist them.

On information, police rushed to the spot and found both the duo dead.

The bodies were recovered.

The reason behind the incident is being investigated, added the OC.
