NARSINGDI: Two minor siblings drowned in the Meghna River in Raipura upazila of Narsingdi on Friday afternoon (June 22).

The deceased were identified as Shamim, 9 and Shahinur Akhter Shimu, 3, children of one Al-Amin of Mahmudabad village of the upazila. 

Mahmudabad union ward-1 member Abdul Sattar told Banglanews that the kids drowned while playing near the river. Later locals recovered their bodies.
