CHUADANGA: Police recovered the bullet-hit body of a young man in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga Thursday (June 21).
The deceased was identified as Hridoy, 28, a resident of Darshana Hothatpara area.
Locals saw the body lying besides a road near Darshana-Chuadanga rail-crossing in the morning.
On information, police recovered the body and sent to the sadar hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Damurhuda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sukumar Biswas told Banglanews that Hridoy was a listed a yaba seller. He was accused in 14 cases filed with various police stations over drug trading, terrorism and mugging.
The murder might have been happened following rivalry among the fellows of the deceased, said the OC.
The deceased’s parents told Banglanews that Hridoy used to live a normal life though he was earlier engaged in drugs.
Law enforcers in plainclothes took him away from in front of one Intaj’s shop in Shantipara area Tuesday evening, they claimed.
Since then, he (Hridoy) was missing, they added.
