COMILLA: An activist of Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chatra Dal (JCD), student wing of BNP, was killed as the BNP standing committee member Dr. Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain’s motorcade met an road accident.

The deceased was identified as Raihan, a JCD activist of Daudkandi municipality unit. 

The accident took place around 12:00pm Tuesday (June 19) as the BNP leaders and activists were traveling by a squad of 25 microbuses from Daudkandi area to attend a wedding reception of UP Chairman Mujibur Rahman’s son.

It has been known that a Shyamoli Paribahan passenger bus hit three microbuses and two private cars of the motorcade at Amirabad U-turn area of Dhaka-Chittagong highway.

Raihan died on the spot while 15 others were injured including Daudkandi municipality unit JCD president Al-Amin. Of the injured, 10 were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Daudkandi highway police station officer-in-charge (OC) Abul Kalam Azad told Banglanews that Mosharraf Hoosain was not injured in the accident.
