3 bodies recovered in 2 dists

DHAKA: Police recovered three bodies from Savar upazila of Dhaka district and Kotalipara Upazila of Gopalganj on Monday (June 18).

In Dhaka, police in separate incidents recovered bodies of a man and a woman in Savar.

The deceased were identified as Roksana Akther Rotna, 18, and an unidentified youth of 20 years old.

The body of college girl Roksana was found at her residence in Joynabari area of Savar in the morning while tied-up body of the youth was fished out of Turag River in Amin Bazar area.

Sub Inspector of Savar Model Police station Shaymol Kumar told Banglanews that the cause of the death is under investigation. The bodies will be sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College & Hospital. Besides, 2 separate cases will be filed.

In Gopalganj, a body of a school student was pulled out of a canal in Kotalipara Upazila in the morning.

The deceased was identified as Sourav, 6, son of Sonjay Bair. He was a student of Machartara Government Primary School, Md Kamrul Faruk, OC of Kotalipara Police Station told out district correspondent.

Sourav fell off a bamboo bridge on Sunday (June 17). After an exhausted a search, his body surfaced on Monday morning, the police official said.
