KHAGRACHHARI: A member of Jana Sanghati Samati (JSS-MN Larma) was reportedly shot to death by miscreants in remote Paiyongpara of Panchhari Upazila on Saturday (June 16).

The deceased was identified as Bijoy Tripura, 35.

A group of armed men entered Bijoy Tripura’s house around 3 pm. After shooting him at close range, they fled the spot.

Sudhakor Tripura, the central information secretary of JSS-MN Larma group, blamed the United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF) for the incident. UPDF, however, denied its involvement in the murder.

Mijanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Panchhari police station said police were dispatched to the spot.
