ASANSOL, PASCHIM BARDHAMAN: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has received Doctor of Literature (D.Litt) from Kazi Nazrul University, Asansol in Paschim Bardhaman district.

The university authorities have conferred the honorary DLitt degree upon her at the special convocation around 12:10pm.

Sheikh Hasina has been honoured with the degree as recognition of her outstanding contributions towards building and for setting up research centres in various universities for conducting further research on Nazrul’s works.
