COX’S BAZAR: Two minor girls drowned in a pond at Munshi Miajipara in Kutubdia upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Friday noon (May 25).

The deceased were identified as Nishpa, 5, daughter of Abu Musa of Munshi Miajipara area and Tanzia, 5, daughter of one Yunus from the same the same area. They were cousins. 

Kutubdia police station officer-in-charge (OC) Didarul Ferdous told Banglanews that the duo fell into the pond at noon while playing around the yard. Later family members found their bodies floating on water and taken to Kutubdia upazila health complex where duty doctor Mostafa Monir declared them dead.
