DHAKA: At least five persons were killed in separate incidents of electrocution in Jamalpur and Chattogram districts on Thursday (May 24).

In Jamalpur, three workers died from electrocution at Moddho Doriyabad area in Islampur Municipality of the district.

The deceased are yet to be identified. The accident took place around 3 pm, quoting local sources.

In Chattogram, one Md Belal, 22 died after coming in contact with electricity, around 11 am, while installing an AC in a three-storied building in Patharghata upazila of the district.

In Lakshmipur, a youth, identified as Dulal Hossen, son of Ruhul Amin, died from electrocution at West Lakshmipur village of Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila.
