None will be spared from drug traders’ list: Home boss Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal inaugurating anti-drug activities of DMP at Farmgate

DHAKA: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said countrywide anti-narcotics drives are underway to catch the mastermind drug traders who have been identified and listed by intelligence agencies including Department of Narcotics Control.

He also warned that none will be spared from the list.

The Home Minister made the remarks while inaugurating anti-drug activities of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) at Farmgate in Dhaka on Thursday noon (May 24).

Mentioning government’s ‘zero tolerance’ against narcotics, the Minister said drug peddlers have no place in the capital.

“We have made a secret list of drug traders and everyone of that list will be brought to justice. All of them will have to pay for their misdeeds”, he said.

DMP commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia said law enforcers have started anti-drug raids from the first day of Ramadan. Huge amount of narcotics have been seized and many infamous drug peddlers have been detained so far.

Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Chief Monirul Islam, DB Additional Commissioner Devdas Bhattacharya, Additional Commissioner (Crime) Krishna Paday Roy, Joint Commissioner (Crime) Sheikh Nazmul Alam were also present at the event.
