GAIBANDHA: Two people including a school student were electrocuted to death at Khamar Ballamjhor village in Gaibandha sadar upazila on Monday noon (May 21).

The deceased were identified as ninth grade student Belal Mia and Azizar Rahman, 45. 

Locals said Azizar called neighbor Belal to fix his electric fan. While repairing the fan, Belal got electric shock from a wire and Azizar tried to rescue him. Both of them were critically injured. Later locals rescued them to sadar hospital where duty doctor declared them dead. 

Ballamjhor union parishad chairman Zahedul Islam Jhantu confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
