Separate clashes claim 2 lives in Rajshahi The dead bodies of Piarul and Ishak

RAJSHAHI: Two persons were killed in separate clashes in Puthia and Durgapur upazilas of Rajshahi district, Mosarraf Hossen, ward master of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital told Banglanews on Monday (May 21).

The deceased Piarul, 50, was beaten with sticks by his brother and nephew over land dispute in Jamira village of Putia upazila, as a result he died, Manjur Hossen, son-in-law of deceased, told Banglanews.

Meanwhile, Ishak became fatally injured from beating, as he protested against an injustice in Sukhandighi village under Durgapur upazila. Later, he died at RMCH while undergoing treatment.

Officer-in-charge of Belpukur Police Station Sheikh Md. Golam Mostafa and Inspector of Durgapur Police Station Mijanur Rahman said the drives have been launched to catch the accused. Post mortem is underway.
