‘Awareness campaign, drives to continue against drug abuse’ Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal talking to the reporters

DHAKA: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that the law enforcers will continue drives to combat drug abuse, apart from keeping the anti-drug campaigns unobstructed.

“The Prime Minister has declared ‘zero tolerance’ against drug. As par the Prime Minister’s direction, drives against drug are underway,” he said.

The minister was launching a mass awareness-raising campaign against drug abuse, at Zero Point of Gulistan of the capital city Sunday (May 20).

Expressing concern over the current situation caused by drug abuse countrywide, the minister said: “Drug abuse must be thwarted to protect our future talent”

“Police and RAB are carrying out drives against drug abuse everywhere, and it will continue always,’ he said further.

However, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal urged everyone to work jointly against the drug dealers and their associates, in the same manner people took stance against the militants and terrorists.
