CHITTAGONG: Department of fisheries has banned fishing in the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) of Bay of Bengal using commercial fishing trawlers for 65 days from May 20 to July 23.
Confirming the matter to Banglanews, district fisheries official Md Mominul Islam told Banglanews the decision has been taken in the interest of breeding fish and maximum preservation in the economic zone.
