3 ‘drug dealers’ killed in Jashore gunfight Gunfight

JASHORE: Three suspected drug dealers were killed in a reported gunfight with members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in Abhaynagar Upazila of the district early Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Milon Kansari, 40, son of Sattar Kansari, habibur Rahman alias Habi Sheikh, 38, son of Barik Sheikh and Abul Kalam, 47, son of Quader Ali Morol. All of them hailed from Noapara village of the upazilla.

Goni Miah, officer-in-charge of Abhaynagar Police Station, told Banglanews that the RAB members handed over the bodies to their police station early of Saturday.

The OC, however, could not provide detail information over the incident.

But, families of the deceased alleged that members of RAB-6 picked up them on May 17 midnight. 

No information was found immediately from the RAB end, Banglanews correspondent reports.
