DHAKA: Director General of the Department of Immigration and Passports Masud Rezwan said BNP acting Chief Tarique Rahman, who is now living in London, won’t get a passport even after application as per law.
DIP DG came up with this remark in a press conference at his office on Thursday (April 26)
When asked if Tarique Rahman would get passport on application, he said I don’t have information whether he submitted a new application. However, he won’t get a new passport as per law, even after application.
According to the law, a person who is convicted for minimum of two years by any court anytime within five years prior the date of application submission would not be issued a passport.
