DHAKA: The concerned authority formed a medical board for the treatment of Rozina Akter Rozi, who lost one of her legs in a bus accident in Dhaka’s Banani on the night of April 20.

The 9-member medical board is headed by Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Burn & Plastic Surgery Unit Prof Dr Md Abul Kalam.

Rozina, a teenager maid at a house in Niketon area, is now receiving treatment at DMCH.

“Is has been seen in the wounded body part that the leg got detached from above the knee. She has no other injury. Though she is doing well to some extent but not out of danger,” said the burn unit Chief Dr Sazzad Khandaker told Banglanews Thursday (April 26).

Earlier, she was taken to the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation (Nitor) after a double-decker BRTC bus ran over her leg on Airport Road in Banani on April 20.

Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) takes the responsibility of bearing all the costs for her treatment.
