DHAKA: A newborn baby that was declared dead by Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) physicians has come back to life few hours later before burial in Azimpur graveyard of Dhaka.

On Monday morning (April 23), a woman by the name Sharmin Akhter, 20, wife of one Minhaz Uddin of Srirampur in Dhamrai, gave birth to the baby in DMCH and pronounced dead by doctors.

Sharmin’s brother Shariful Islam told reporters that the baby started to move and breathe during the bath right before burial. Appalled relatives then rushed the baby to Shyamoli child hospital.

Child hospital public relations officer Abdul Hakim told Banglanews that the kid is under observation by doctors and hopefully will recover. The mother is still admitted in DMCH.
