PM Hasina returns home Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned home Monday

DHAKA: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned home Monday morning after wrapping up her eight-day official visit to the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia.

Bangladesh Biman flight from London carrying the PM and members of her entourage landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:47 am. 

She paid a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia from April 15-16 at the invitation of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to join the concluding ceremony of a joint grand military exercise named "Gulf Shield-1". 

Later, the prime minister visited London on April 16 to join the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) Summit. 

On April 19, Sheikh Hasina attended the opening ceremony of CHOGM and official welcome hosted by the British Premier Theresa May. 

Besides, she joined the welcome reception followed by dinner hosted by British Prime Minister Theresa May, a reception followed by dinner hosted by Queen Elizabeth II in honour of heads of government and their spouses/partners, and a reception hosted by Commonwealth Secretary General Patricia Scotland QC.

Sheikh Hasina also attended another event titled the "Asia leaders' roundtable: Can Asia keep growing?" and held bilateral meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Prime Minister Hasina also joined a community reception accorded to her marking the graduation of Bangladesh to a developing country from the least developed one.
