The deceased was identified as Mizan Kazi, 40.

Sub-inspector Bachhu Mia, in-charge of the DMCH police outpost said the accident occurred as a Supravat Paribahan bus collided with another bus of Best Transport, leaving Mizan dead on the spot and seven passengers injured.

On information, police recovered the body and seized the buses. 

Shiuli Akhtar, wife of deceased, told Banglanews that her husband lost his job recently as a bus driver. He went out early in the morning being assured of getting a job. But it was not sure whether he was driving any of the two buses during the accident.
