DHAKA: Law Minister Anisul Haque said the proposal for amendment to Bangladesh Road Transport Authority Bill 2017 may be placed in the upcoming budget session at the parliament, vowing smooth, planned and modernized road transport system.

He was talking to the reporters after attending a program of Judicial Administration Training Institute in Dhaka Sunday (April 22).

“The draft of the road transport act which earlier received approval is now in negotiation under three ministries. In fact, the act is now on vetting stage,” Anisul said.

“We are holding discussion with all the stake holders about the act as this one is very important,” he added.  

All the facts involved in road and transport are being tried to be addressed through this, the minister said further regarding the law.

Anisul expressed his worry and concern over the recent rise of road crashes in the country.
