DHAKA: Cautionary warnings have been issued for all the river ports Saturday (April 21) as nor’wester has been lashing through major parts of Bangladesh separately. 

Met office said trough of low lying over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining area and seasonal low lying over the South Bay.

Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary squally wind with lightning flashes have been forecasted at many places over Dhaka, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions and at a place over Khulna & Chittagong divisions.

The similar has been forecasted for one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi & Barisal divisions with hails at isolated places over the country.

Cautionary signal -2 has been issued for all the river ports in Pabna, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Kumilla and Sylhet and signal-2 has been issued for the river ports in the rest areas.

Weather would remain squally till Tuesday (April 21) but the possibility of thundershower would fall, said the Met office in its forecast issued on Saturday morning.

However, on Saturday, wind is blowing South/Southwesterly (10-15) kph with temporary gusting to (40-50) kph in Dhaka.
