FARIDPUR: Two workers were killed inhaling poisonous gas while cleaning a septic tank of a house in Chandra village in Alfadanga upazila of Faridpur on Friday noon (April 20).

The deceased were identified as Alam, 25, son of Full Mia of Akhilipara village under Boalmari upazila and Shahidul, 35, son of Razzak Sheikh of Bhatpara village of Pachariya union of Alfadanga upazila.

According to hospital and fire service sources, the duo was killed while doing repair works inside the tank supposedly from inhaling toxic gas. Later on information, fire service recovered their bodies.
