MADARIPUR: Detective Branch (DB) of police detained 15 members of a gang involved in leaking question papers of primary school teacher recruitment tests in Madaripur town Friday (April 20).

They are identified as Palash Mondol, 35, Montosh Sarker, 32, Akram Hossain, 24, Apurbo Halder, 35, Binoy Bhokto, 27, Anadi Biswas, 27, Shoshangko Boidyo, 32, Tanvir Ahmed, 31, Mridul Halder, 30, Ashish Bala, 29, Mrittyunjoy Bala, 25, Alok Bala, 20, Suranjan Pandey, 42, Muksudul Alam, 35 and Sontosh Halder, 40, all are residents of different areas of Madaripur and Gopalganj.

Madaripur Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Suman Deb told Banglanews that 11 members of the gang were nabbed in a drive carried out in a house in Pathokkandi area of the town, around 11:30am.

On information from them, four more were nabbed from the adjacent house.

Laptop, printer and other electronic devices including question papers were seized from them.

The detainees are involved in leaking the question papers of primary school assistant teacher recruitment tests, said the ASP. 

Some of them are government employees.

Drive is being continued to nab others, he added.
