RAJSHAHI:  Two workers died after a crane of an under construction building had fallen on them in Technical Training Center (TTC) of Rajshahi on Sunday (April 15).

The accident took place around 9:30 am.

The two deceased were identified as Mostazul Islam, 22, son of Selim Islam, from Thakurmara Sutahoti are of Rajshahi city, and Babu Mia, 35, from Bohrompur area of the city.

Mostazul Islam died on the spot while Babu died, around 12 pm, when undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, Project Manager Aminul Islam told Banglanews.

TTC workers said they were working without any safety. Materials were not tested before starting work.

Zillur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge, of Rajshahi Shah Makhdum Police Station said police went to the spot after getting the news. The bodies will be taken to police station for post-mortem test. A case will be filed over the incident.
