DHAKA: Kabir Hossain, one of the survivors of US-Bangla plane crash, underwent surgery at a hospital in Singapore on Monday night (March 26) when his right leg was amputated.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) burn unit coordinator Dr. Samanta Lal Sen confirmed the matter to Banglanews on Tuesday afternoon (March 27).
He said, Kabir’s leg was severely infected and he was taken Singapore on Sunday night based on medical board recommendation and his family’s consent. Doctors performed surgery on Monday.
Kabir was admitted to DMCH after he was brought back to Dhaka from a Kathmandu hospital on March 19. Later his condition deteriorated and he has been kept on life support.
Earlier on March 12, at least 51 people including 27 Bangladeshis were killed as an US-Bangla Airlines plane from Dhaka crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal. A total of 10 people survived the crash.
