NETROKONA: A young man was killed after being struck by lightning at Monash village under Barhatta upazila of Netrokona Friday morning (March 23).

The deceased was identified as Al Amin Mia, 30, son of Abdul Majid, a resident of the village.

Barhatta Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mejbah Uddin Ahmed told Banglanews that thunderbolt hit Al Amin while he was returning home from his shop, amid drizzling in the morning. 

He died on the spot, added the OC.
