DHAKA: The rest three bodies of Bangladeshis, who died in the US-Bangla plane crash at Nepal airport on March 12, arrived in Dhaka from Nepal on Thursday afternoon (March 22).
The deceased are Nazrul Islam, Alifuzzaman Alif and Pias Roy.
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight (BG-072) carrying the bodies landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 4:55pm where relatives of the victims have been waiting there to receive the bodies.
Victims’ family members said the bodies will be taken to their respective homes after the hand over procedures is completed.
The airport authority has taken one member from each family inside to hand over the bodies.
Earlier, the bodies were identified Wednesday (March 21).
Of 26 Bangladeshi victims, 23 bodies arrived in Dhaka by a cargo aircraft of Bangladesh Air force on Monday (March 19).
At least 51 people were killed as the US-Bangla Airlines aircraft crashed while landing at the Kathmandu airport in Nepal on March 12. Twenty-six Bangladeshis were among the dead.
A total of 10 Bangladeshis survived the crash. Seven of them were brought back home and undergoing treatment at DMCH while 3 others are being treated in Singapore and India.
