HABIGANJ: Two persons were killed as a bus rammed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Dhaka-Sylhet Highway in Bahubal upazila of Habiganj Wednesday (March 21).

The deceased were identified as Farhad Mia, 28, the auto-rickshaw driver and Nur Ali, 40, a cousin of Farhad, hailed from Shankarpur village under Bahubal.

Locals said, a Sylhet-bound bus of Shyamoli Paribahan rammed the auto-rickshaw on the highway in Daulatpur area under the upazila, leaving the duo dead on the spot, the morning.

The bodies were recovered from the spot, said Shayestaganj Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jashim Uddin Khandaker.
