DHAKA: Shahin Bepari and Shahreen, two of the injured victims of US-Bangla airliner crash, underwent surgery at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Wednesday (March 21).

DMCH Burn unit coordinator Dr Samanta Lal Sen said they begin the surgeries at 9:30am.

Earlier, Shahin was kept at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for breathing difficulties Tuesday (March 20).

Survivors Shahreen was brought to home from Nepal on Thursday (March 15) while Shahin Bepari on Sunday (March 18). They were admitted to DMCH afterwards.

The government formed a medical board headed by Dr Samanta Lal Sen, to ensure early recovery of all the survivors.

At least 51 people were killed as the US-Bangla Airlines aircraft crashed while landing at the Kathmandu airport in Nepal on March 12. Twenty-six Bangladeshis were among the dead.
