SATKHIRA: At least 6 people including 3 members of a family were killed as a truck and pickup-van collided at Bhairabnagar in Patkelghata upazila of Satkhira on Tuesday evening (March 20).

Moreover, 7 others were injured in the head-on collision that took place on Satkhira-Khulna highway around 8:30pm. 

The deceased were identified as Aklima Khatun, wife of Moniruzzaman of Kaliakoir village in Kaliganj upazila, her son Ashikuzzaman, 12, daughter Mim, 3, Nur Banu, Saidul Islam and Sabbir Hossain. 

Confirming the matter to Banglanews, Patkelghata police station officer-in-charge (OC) Molla Jahangir Hossain said the bodies were recovered to Satkhira sadar hospital morgue. The injured are in critical condition and undergoing treatment.
